There was a post with a picture with a small Sanskrit verse about speaking the truth with a translation that was a little too generalized for my liking. It was too beautiful to not re-translate:

To speak
truth in a pleasing tone,
don't
speak truth which would hurt someone
and don't
say sweet things which are untrue..
My direct translation:
Speak
truth, speak kindly,
don't
speak truth unkindly,
don't
speak untruth kindly,
[this is
the] endeavor of Sanatana Dharma (the Eternal Way).
Hari
Aum….. Jaya Gurudev
And finally my poetic version:
The
endeavor of the Eternal Way
Is not to
speak truth unkindly,
Nor speak
untruth kindly, but
Speak
truth and speak kindly.
